									<p class="x">The seminar is related to the European Parliament's Environment Committee's adoption, on January 24, 2024, of the EU Commission's proposal to update the EU's regulation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in light of technological advancements in genome editing. The proposal defines two types of NGT plants: Category 1 and Category 2. It is still in the process of being approved by the European Parliament and the EU Council.</p>
