Feeding a growing human population in a sustainable way is one of the major challenges facing the global society. Digitalization is a prerequisite for a sustainable food production that balances scalable food production and economic feasibility with ecological resources. This mission is the core of the START DIGITAL Hub. In this meeting, we will:
- Have an introduction to the Centre for Sustainable Agri-Food Systems by Bodil Hjarvard
- Explore and elaborate on ways in which digitalization plays a key role in sustainable Agri-Food systems
- Take a tour of the IT-University of Copenhagen campus to see the different ways of leveraging IT to tackle societal challenges.
