Exploring language and trustworthy communication in the context of the green transition: An online interactive workshop by Collaborative Landscapes
Language is not only key to understanding the evolving narratives and terminology of sustainability, but it is also central to the maintenance of trust as societies transition.
This online workshop, delivered by Associate Professor Antoinette Fage-Butler, will centre on two things:
- It will introduce selected methods with which to analyse the language that shapes our conversations about the green transition, and
- It will present research findings on trust and language in the context of the green transition, encouraging reflection and discussion of how we can communicate in ways that build trust across multiple perspectives.
This will be an interactive event that:
- provides insights into and hands-on experience of analytical methods often associated with the Humanities, and
- promotes interdisciplinary discussions across the participants.
There will be a 15-minute break in the middle of the session.
Antoinette Fage-Butler is an Associate Professor at the Department of English and Deputy Leader of the Centre for Environmental Humanities at Aarhus University, and a Coordinator of the START hub called “Collaborative Landscapes”. She specializes in the analysis of discourse and in the communication of trust on scientific topics.
You will receive a calendar invitation with a zoom link upon registration deadline.
