Virtual information session 1 | Novo Nordisk Foundation Challenge Programme 2024

On behalf of the Novo Nordisk Foundation, START invites you and your colleagues to a virtual information session about the Challenge Programme 2024: ‘Integrating safety and environmental sustainability impacts of bio-based solutions’, which is now open for applications.

The challenge is to develop reliable, validated tools, methodologies, standards, and approaches that increase knowledge about how to quantitatively measure, predict, and integrate human health and/or environmental safety risks and environmental sustainability effects of bio-based solutions.

The host institution of the project must be in Denmark, but co-applicants from any international institution who contribute significantly to the project can receive part of the funding.

Grants could be up to 6 years and DKK 60 million (approx. EUR 8 million and USD 8,6 million). The application deadline is 25 October 2023.

There will be two info sessions available, and no prior registration is required. Note that the full hour may not be needed, depending on the number of questions.

The info session will cover the following:

• Introduction to the ‘Integrating safety and environmental sustainability impacts of bio-based solutions’ Challenge
• Explanation of the application process
• Q&A
