Improve impact – Making the START Triple-I approach operational

Purpose and outcome: demonstrate how interdisciplinarity supports increases the value creation and impact of project application and research across all sciences disciplines.

From the Chairman

A key element of the European Green Deal and the Farm2Fork strategy as defined by the European union is to create a novel, truly sustainable and resilient agri-food system. The challenge can only be met by ground-breaking Interdisciplinary research projects. This means, to take all challenges, opportunities and barriers into account in a balanced integrative way, and by including all societal actors and planetary boundaries in living lab-scale research. We have created START as a joint effort between all Danish universities to meet this challenge. More specifically, START has identified seven strategic priority areas defined as key issues in the green transition of the agrifood systems. As chairman of START I would like to invite you to our 2nd annual meeting and to join our shared vision.

Mogens Rysholt Poulsen, START Chairman
