The START Annual Meeting 2025 turns into the international START Conference: Green Minds Gather.

We have received a generous grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation to create an exceptional conference and you are invited to join Green Minds Gather on 29-30 April 2025 in Copenhagen.

We will bring together 500 key stakeholders, Danish and international researchers, practitioners from the agrifood industry and policymakers from Denmark and the EU to further the dialogue and start hacking the key challenges of the agrifood sector.

Through high-level keynotes, panels, workshops, poster sessions, demonstrations and networking activities, the conference will foster active engagement and in-depth discussions on the challenges and potential solutions. Together, we will explore the next steps in greening the agrifood systems from a research perspective.

Thematically, the conference will be positioned within the academic themes of START: Integrative Land Use, Circular Resource Sufficiency, Connecting Sea and Land, Novel Food and Feed for Optimized use of Proteins, Safe and Diverse Food for Healthy People, Food Systems in the Digital Age, Co-creation and Living Labs. The key objectives of the conference are strengthening international and interdisciplinary collaboration, highlighting cutting-edge research and innovative solutions, and inspiring EU policymaking. A key deliverable of the conference will be a policy input paper outlining future-oriented research directions that contribute to an accelerated green transition.

We invite all academic disciplines to collaborate in addressing the current challenges, shaping key questions, and expanding our vision for the future. PhD and PostDoc researchers are encouraged to submit their work for the poster sessions (more information will follow in October for the ones who pre-register).

Please pre-register here and you will receive more information as the conference programme develops.

We look forward to welcoming you at Green Minds Gather!
