Anette Engelund Friis, CEO of the new organization, will host the webinar. She will share the latest updates on the merger and offer insights into the perspectives and opportunities that lie ahead for innovation and collaboration in the green agri-food ecosystem.
We’re also joined by three guest speakers who will each present pioneering projects making a real impact on the green transition:
Knud Tybirk – Project HØSTTEK
HØSTTEK is developing a new farming branch focused on lowland soils. The project addresses major challenges in agriculture related to climate, environment, and biodiversity. A specially designed harvesting machine capable of operating on waterlogged soils will enable the removal of green biomass from 140,000 hectares. This biomass will be used to produce biogas or – bio-glue from extracted proteins for construction panels — a concrete example of circular innovation with strong environmental impact.
Matthew Stanley Johnson – Project PERMA
PERMA is one of the most successful projects under AgriFoodTure and has developed a breakthrough technology called MEPS – Methane Eradication Photochemical System. MEPS uses UV light and chlorine to break down methane and ammonia in ventilation air from livestock buildings, significantly reducing harmful emissions and contributing to cleaner agricultural production.
Lotte Lund – Project DELTAR
DELTAR is a new and promising initiative that aims to strengthen citizen involvement in green spatial planning. The project develops new participatory formats through democratic labs in three municipalities. These are used to co-create strategies and governance tools that promote public engagement, sustainable transitions, and policy implementation – all with an eye on scalability and long-term social transformation.
